An important part of a healthy environment is good sanitary measures from the people in it.

Our Healthy Environment protocols incorporate BioProtect Hand Sanitiser in many types of environments, from healthcare facilities and food manufacturers (where frequent glove use occurs) to public transport and the tourism industry.

A single application of BioProtect® Hand Sanitiser on the skin not only eliminates and inactivates bacteria, but also prevents reinfection by maintaining a long-lasting protective barrier. Other hand sanitisers on the market today are primarily ethyl or isopropyl alcohol formulations, which are largely antibacterial in nature and only provide protection for a few minutes.

Most hand sanitisers contain high percentages of alcohol to poison germs, generally over 62%. These products are a unique blend of polyquats (amixture of quaternary ammonium chloride compounds) consisting of a sophisticated polymer backbone formula employing multifaceted modes of activity. Coverage Rate

The normal volume of alcohol hand sanitizer used when in gel form is around 2 ml per application. BioProtect hand sanitiser uses a foam application of 0.2ml  per application so effectively you get 10  times the applications with the BioProtect  product.

Sanders air filters (also called containment filters) are designed to protect your environment from airborne pathogens.

Airborne transmission of disease is one of the great hidden threats in our environments. However, this is poorly understood.

Sub-micron airborne clouds of particles can spread over very long distances as aerosols.

A 2013 study by the University of Maryland concluded that there are nine times more culturable virus in the humidity exhaled from the lungs of a person infected with the flu than in a cough or sneeze.

Many organisations therefore fail to take adequate steps to maintain a healthy quality of air.

With the use of Sanders filter, particles the size of known pathogens are captured and prevented from entering your air supply, enhancing the ability to contain the spread of respiratory viruses.

Sanders containment filters are:

  • New, synthetic filters developed with efficiencies higher than HEPA, 99.99980% @ 0.1 micron
  • Soft, flexible pads with a very low static pressure, .17 W.C. @ 125 cfm/sq. ft.
  • Independently tested on virus VFE
  • Able to provide HEPA (High Efficiency Particulate Air) or near-HEPA filtration of the return air duct directly, in any room.
  • Able to filter air quality without any reconstruction costs of transforming HVAC units.

The filters can be cut to fit any HVAC system, from transportation  to buildings and indoor stadiums.

How do they work?

By attaching Sanders containments filters pads over every return vent or at the main unit, you will capture most particles the size of known pathogens, as it is about to enter the HVAC system.

Initially this technology can be instituted by attaching small “pads” of material onto the sides of commercial floor driers/air movers that are rated to ½ HP and 700-1200 cfm (suction of the device holds the material in place).

This provides substantial air filtration in specific locations. Alternatively, since they are corded devices, a number of driers could be placed within a facility during off hours, left overnight and removed at the start of business to provide a measure of starting indoor air each day beyond HEPA quality.

The filters are available in roll form and can be cut in the field, which is both user-friendly and cost-effective.

BODY TEMPERATURE MEASUREMENT & CROWD CONTROL (for infection prevention)

In high-traffic environments, body temperature monitoring is the most effective way to prevent infectious diseases from being introduced from outside.

This is because fever is the leading indicator of infection and the best predictor of contagiousness.

Being able to prevent entry of potentially contagious people can help reduce transmission of infections in shopping malls, sports stadia, and other crowded public spaces.

How does it work?

We use a combination of devices and strategies to make this happen.

  • Thermal cameras mounted at each entry point, detecting body temperature (in excess of 38 degrees indicates sickness)
  • Hand-held temperature scanners to individually check people with raised temperature readings
  • Thermal body temperature monitoring solutions with facial recognition technology – especially useful for staff entrances

Additionally, smart 3D cameras can be used to automatically count and display the number of people entering an area.

This helps crowded public spaces limit the number of individuals entering, if necessary.

As well as crowded retail environments, this technology may be used in public transport, airports manufacturing businesses, aged care facilities, hospitals, schools, hotels, pubs, sports venues, or anywhere where large numbers of people need to be measured across multiple entrances.

MICROFIBRE WORLD CLOTHS (more effective removal of bacteria)

The use of microfibre has had a huge impact on commercial cleaning.

In combination with the right cleaning products, microfibre is effective at:

  • Cleaning on a microscopic scale
  • Attracting dust due to its electrostatic properties
  • Absorbing fat and grease

Microfibre materials can reduce the number of bacteria on surfaces by 99%. A conventional cleaning material is only a third as effective.

Our Microfibre World cloths are 80 percent polyester and 20 percent polyamide.

They are also super absorbent (can hold up to seven times their weight in water) and leave no lint or streaking when cleaning.

The weight of our knitted microfibre cloths is 330 GSM while our woven cloths are 350 GSM.

This is important as lightweight cloths soon disintegrate. Ours last the distance so that they can be used again and again with peak performance every time.

How does it work?

Microfibre cloth is made from synthetic fibres about 1/100th the diameter of human hair.

Our cloths are made from polyester and polyamide. These fibres and their unique properties provide microfibre with its characteristic softness, high absorption, electrodynamics and filtering capabilities.

Mould is a natural part of our environment, necessary in breaking down dead organic matter such as wood and leaves. However, when found indoors it is regarded as harmful to buildings, animals and humans. Moulds are simple, microscopic organisms that exist unseen virtually everywhere. When moisture and nutrients become abundant, single mould cells will settle on a surface and begin to form colonies. Once started, a colony will grow quickly spreading across walls, furniture and fabrics. Aside from the damage caused to the surfaces, mould to has been touted by health experts as “the next asbestos” proclaiming it as a world-wide health risk.
